Upcoming engagements include Farlaf Ruslan and Lyudmila at the Staatsoper Hamburg, Tirésias Œdipe and bass solo in Preisner’s Requiem for a Friend at the George Enescu International Festival, Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 14 with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France under Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, and returns to the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Recent highlights feature Boris Timofeyevich Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk at the Gran Teatre del Liceu; the Newspaper Clerk The Nose and Dolokhov War and Peace — both new productions at the Bayerische Staatsoper by Dmitri Tcherniakov and Vladimir Jurowski; the Archbishop The Maid of Orleans at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein; Surin The Queen of Spades and soloist in Les Noces — new productions at the Teatro alla Scala; Varlaam Boris Godunov at the Opernhaus Zürich; and Ramfis Aida at the Opéra national de Paris (Opéra Bastille) and the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

A graduate of the International Opera Studio of Opernhaus Zürich and the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Chişinău, Botnarciuc is a third prize winner at the International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition.
