Soprano Anna Denisova continues to earn international acclaim for her shimmering timbre and expressive artistry. Recent engagements include her debut at the Glyndebourne Festival as the First Blumenmädchen Parsifal, Ludmila Ruslan and Ludmila, and Marguerite de Valois Les Huguenots at the Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, as well as appearances in Glinka’s A Life for the Tsar.
She has appeared with the Berliner Philharmoniker and at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden under Kirill Petrenko as Die Schleppträgerin Elektra, and performed Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under Gianandrea Noseda. She also sang Brigitte Iolanta with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Kseniya Boris Godunov at the Teatro alla Scala. Other notable performances include The Golden Cockerel and Le Rossignol at Opéra de Lyon.
A frequent soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre St. Petersburg, her repertoire there includes Natasha Rostova War and Peace, Violetta La traviata, Lucia Lucia di Lammermoor, Susanna Le nozze di Figaro, Blondchen Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Ilia Idomeneo, Snow Maiden in The Snow Maiden and Marfa The Tsar's Bride.
A laureate of the International Glinka Competition, Anna Denisova also won second prize at the VIII Klaudia Taev Competition, first prize at the Jakub Pustina International Vocal Competition, and second prize at the Nuremberg Meistersingers Competition.
