Winner of the First Prize at the 2025 Belvedere Singing Competition, baritone Geon Kim is rapidly establishing himself on the international opera scene.
At Deutsche Oper Berlin, his roles include Rodrigo Don Carlo, Marcello La bohème, Der Förster Das schlaue Füchslein, Moralès Carmen, and Graf von Monterone Rigoletto.

In the 2026/27 season, he also performs Marcello La bohème at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. He is scheduled to cover Rodrigo Don Carlo at the Metropolitan Opera.
His repertoire also includes Guglielmo Così fan tutte, Il Conte d’Almaviva Le nozze di Figaro, and the title role in Gianni Schicchi.

Geon Kim is currently completing his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, having previously studied voice at Seoul National University.
He was a member of the Korean National Opera Studio during the 2023/24 season. He is a recipient of the SeAH Woon Hyung Lee Foundation and winner of the 2024 Georg Solti Academy Seoul Competition, which led to invitations to the Georg Solti Accademia in Italy in 2025 and 2026.
His other awards include First Prize at the KBS & KEPCO Voice Competition and Third Prize at the Korean Voice Competition.
