Polish baritone Mateusz Michałowski is building a repertoire around major dramatic baritone roles.

His recent and upcoming engagements include the title role in Falstaff at the Polish National Opera and the title role Rigoletto at the Grand Theatre in Łódź, Baltic Opera, and Wrocław Opera, as well as Amonasro in Aida at Teatr Wielki Poznań, Giorgio Germont La traviata and Sharpless Madama Butterfly at the Polish National Opera, and Escamillo Carmen at Wrocław Opera. He will also appear as the baritone soloist in Feliks Nowowiejski’s oratorio Quo vadis with Szczecin Philharmonic.

Previous engagements include Renato Un ballo in maschera at the Silesian Opera, Giorgio Germont La traviata at State Opera Burgas, and Tonio in Pagliacci at State Opera Stara Zagora.
Michałowski won First Prize at the Krystyna Jamroz Vocal Competition in 2024, Second Prize at the Ghena Dimitrova Competition in 2023, and First Prize at the International Stoyan Popov Competition in 2022.
He has also received special prizes at the International Giulio Perotti Gesangswettbewerb and the Viva Calisia competition.
