Ramona Zaharia is a Romanian mezzo-soprano renowned for her powerful voice and captivating stage presence. 
Her recent performances include the iconic title role of Carmen at prestigious opera houses worldwide, including  The Royal Ballet and Opera, Opéra de Nice, Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf, and the Prague National Theatre.
She has also captivated audiences as Maddalena Rigoletto at the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Ballet and Opera and Teatro Real Madrid. Other notable recent roles include Eboli Don Carlos, Fenena Nabucco, Amneris Aida, Olga Eugene Onegin, Erda Das Rheingold, and Azucena Il Trovatore at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. She recently took on the challenging title role of The Sphinx in George Enescu's Oedipe at the George Enescu International Festival.

Ramona's impressive career boasts a long list of acclaimed performances. These include Federica Luisa Miller at the Staatsoper Hamburg, the Princess Adriana Lecouvreur at both the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and the Romanian National Opera, Dalila Samson et Dalila at the Bucharest National Opera, Amneris at the Latvian National Opera, and Carmen at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Staatsoper Stuttgart, among many others.
