Șerban Vasile has appeared as a guest artist on major international stages, performing the role of Ford Falstaff at the Metropolitan Opera under James Levine and at the Dutch National Opera under Daniele Gatti; Valentin Faust under Juraj Valčuha and Valdeburgo La straniera under Fabio Luisi at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino; Valentin Faust under Dan Ettinger at the Israeli Opera; the title role in Macbeth and Nabucco, Amonasro Aida, and Alfio/Tonio Cavalleria rusticana/Pagliacci at Ravenna Festival; Giorgio Germont La traviata under Pietro Rizzo at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and at Irish National Opera under Fergus Sheil; Yeletsky The Queen of Spades under Mikko Franck in Nice, Marseille, Toulon, and Avignon; Sharpless Madama Butterfly at the Stuttgart Opera; Ibn-Hakia  Iolanta at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna; Renato Un ballo in maschera and Amonasro Aida under Riccardo Muti at the Tokyo Spring Festival; and Count Luna Il trovatore at the Romanian National Opera in Timișoara and at Opera Bergen.

In addition, he has performed extensively at the Bucharest National Opera, where his roles have included Alfio/Tonio Cavalleria rusticana/Pagliacci, Valentin Faust, Belcore L’elisir d’amore, and Figaro Il barbiere di Siviglia, among others.
