Originally broadcast live from the Met on May 31, 2025, the performance has been screened in cinemas across the globe, with encore showings in the U.S. and internationally throughout June. Akhmetshina has drawn widespread praise for her sparkling coloratura, comic timing, and magnetic stage presence, confirming her place among today’s most exciting mezzo-sopranos.

The performance is part of Bartlett Sher’s lively and elegant production, conducted by Giacomo Sagripanti. Akhmetshina is joined by Jack Swanson as Count Almaviva, Andrey Zhilikhovsky as Figaro, Peter Kálmán as Dr. Bartolo, and Alexander Vinogradov as Don Basilio.
