Victoria Karkacheva debuts at Opéra national de Paris as Carmen

On Saturday night, Victoria Karkacheva returns to the title role of Carmen. Fresh from a recent house debut in Vienna in the role, Victoria now takes Bizet's heroine back to the city of the opera's premiere, making her house debut at the Opéra national de Paris.

The production is not alien to Victoria; her run in Vienna in the celebrated Calixto Bieito production only finished a few days ago, and it travels with her to Paris. The show will be conducted by Keri-Lynn Wilson, with Jean-François Borras taking on the role of Carmen's tormented lover. Victoria stars in this run till the 19th March.
