On Saturday night, Carmen returns to the Wiener Staatsoper with Victoria Karkacheva making a much-anticipated house debut with Bizet's tragic titular heroine. Famous for her warm and versatile voice (Bachtrack) with its pleasing facility in the upper register (ConcertoNet), Victoria appears in the world-famous Calixto Bieito production, opposite Jose Piotr Beczala and under the baton of Yves Abel. The run lasts until March 3rd.
