“Inna Demenkova first. What a phenomenal singer she is. A beautiful even, darkly timbered, but crystal clear soprano voice, which technically can completely transform her entire pallet of colors, dynamic range and expression into singing that moves. Every scene with her was impressive” - Opera Magazine

In the 2024/25 season, Inna made her debuts at Glyndebourne Festival debut as Fiorilla Il turco in Italia, as the soprano soloist in Verdi’s Messa da Requiem with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra under Lorenzo Viotti, as Susanna Le nozze di Figaro at Palm Beach Opera, and returned to Dutch National Opera as Ksenia in Kirill Serebrennikov’s new production of Boris Godunov.

Other career highlights include Lauretta and Suor Genovieffa in Barrie Kosky’s Il trittico at Dutch National Opera, Berenice L’occasione fa il ladro at Theater an der Wien, and Juliette in Roméo et Juliette at Bühnen Bern. A graduate of the Dutch National Opera Studio in Amsterdam, Inna appeared in house productions as Frasquita Carmen, 1st Nymph Rusalka, Zweite Zofe Der Zwerg, Annina La traviata, and Belinda Dido and Aeneas, as well as in contemporary and baroque projects including Denis & Katya and Opera in Paradiso: Kings and Queens, a collaboration between Christof Loy and the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra.

Inna Demenkova is the 3rd Prize winner of both the José Carreras Grand Prix Vocal Competition and The Queen Sonja International Music Competition, affirming her position as one of the promising lyric sopranos of her generation.

Demenkova's "O mio babbino caro..." was every bit as irresistible as it should have been  - Bachtrack

The daughter, Lauretta, was superbly sung by the Russian soprano Inna Demenkova... Her sparkling soprano voice is very beautiful, the role is well suited to her voice and it was comical, without detracting from the beauty of the aria - Place de l'Opera

Another of the most applauded singers was the soprano Inna Demenkova, also a Russian singer with an exquisite timbre, which she exhibited in the character of Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica. But her Lauretta, in Gianni Schicchi, allowed her to enjoy the only applauded interruption of the evening: the popular aria O mio babbino caro, which she sang with a perfectly calculated pout - El Pais

Demenkova has a robust, warm soprano with which she seemingly effortlessly climbs heights, both in the finest piano and in the expansive forte

The same goes for soprano Inna Demenkova. What a voice, what a charisma and above all what empathy she displayed once again. She already did this in several performances last year, such as in Ändere die Welt, but in Paradiso she sang so beautifully that the audience, which had long held back from applauding after every aria or duet, could no longer hold back after another beautiful aria ('Mi palpita il cor') by this soprano. Bravas and thunderous applause descended upon her!

Inna Demenkova first. What a phenomenal singer she is. A beautiful even, darkly timbreed, but crystal clear soprano voice, which technically can completely transform her entire pallet of colors, dynamic range and expression into singing that moves. Every scene with her was impressive. How many languages must this soprano think, translate and sing in? Russian (her mother tongue), German, French, back and forth...It didn't seem to hinder her from finding the right pronunciation for each piece, but above all the right expression. Her character, a mother with child who still seems to have hope for a better world and probably wants to fight for it, she portrayed credibly, movingly and vocally flawlessly. Let's hope she will be retained for the Netherlands for a few more years because the world's stages are her oyster!
