Samson et Dalila opens at the Royal Ballet & Opera on 13th May, featuring two MKI artists in leading roles. Aigul Akhmetshina makes her role debut as Dalila, while Łukasz Goliński returns as the High Priest of Dagon, a role he performed at Covent Garden in 2022 to acclaim for his “world-class singing.”

Conducted by Alexander Soddy, the production runs until 3rd June. Akhmetshina and Goliński reprise these roles alongside Soddy again this summer at the Staatsoper unter den Linden, opening on 4th July.

While in London, Akhmetshina will also sing at the Royal Ballet & Opera’s 2026 Spring Gala on 14th May, where she will perform alongside fellow operatic superstars including Freddie De Tommaso, Pretty Yende, Sir Bryn Terfel, and more. The evening of operatic classics will feature music direction by Jakub Hrůša and Martin Georgiev.
