Praised for his “impressive vocal authority and psychological intensity” (Opernwelt), Polish bass-baritone Łukasz Goliński has earned an international reputation for standout performances as Scarpia, Escamillo and Szymanowski's Krol Roger.

In the 2026-27 season he returns to both Staatsoper Berlin and Opernhaus Zürich as High Priest of Dagon Samson et Dalila, makes his US debut at The Atlanta Opera as Escamillo Carmen, and his house debut at La Monnaie de Bruxelles as Alfio Cavalleria rusticana.  

Recent highlights include appearances at the Royal Ballet and Opera as Orest Elektra, Marcello La bohème and Escamillo Carmen. His acclaimed interpretation of Escamillo has also taken him to Staatsoper Berlin, Opernhaus Zürich, Dutch National Opera, Opera Australia, Glyndebourne Festival, Savonlinna Opera Festival, New National Theatre Tokyo and Staatsoper Stuttgart. Further highlights include Orest at Teatro di San Carlo, Giorgio Germont La traviata and Tomsky The Queen of Spades at Staatsoper Hamburg, Jochanaan Salome at the Royal Swedish Opera, Count Tomsky The Queen of Spades at Gran Teatre del Liceu, and Scarpia Tosca at Oper Frankfurt. At the Polish National Opera, he has appeared as Giorgio Germont, Sharpless Madama Butterfly and Janusz Halka.

Goliński has received particular critical acclaim for his interpretation of the title role in Szymanowski’s King Roger, notably with Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under Antonio Pappano, as well as at the Royal Swedish Opera and Oper Frankfurt. At the Salzburg Festival, he appeared as Fotis The Greek Passion.
