In a 2025/2026 season full to the brim with Wagner, Derek casts off this Sunday in the title role of Der fliegende Holländer with the Salzburg Landestheater. He will soon return to Berlin in this role at the Deutsche Oper.

Renowned internationally for his prowess in the great Wagner roles, Derek now appears at the prestigious Felsenreitschule to deliver his stirring and vocally thunderous rendition of Wagner's tortured captain.

The production is directed by Carl Philip von Maldeghem and conducted by Leslie Suganandarajah.
