Ekaterina Sannikova sings the title role of Tosca at the Teatro Regio di Torino from 13th June. Her deeply committed portrayal of Puccini’s tragic heroine has earned widespread acclaim, with critics declaring that she “succeeds in drawing [audiences] into the oppressive vortex of violence to which [Tosca] is subjected… Her singing and acting [are] outstanding.”
Renowned for her interpretations of Puccini heroines, Sannikova most recently appeared as Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly at Oper Leipzig, and she will sing the title role of Tosca this autumn in her debut at the Salzburg Felsenreitschule. Other highlights of her 2026/27 season include her return to the Teatro Regio di Torino as Fidelia in Edgar in January, followed by her debut at the Opéra National de Paris in March.
