Galina Cheplakova makes her house debut at the Semperoper Dresden as Micaëla in Carmen, opening on 1st May. With music direction by Lorenzo Passerini, Nadja Loschky’s new production of Bizet’s famed opera will showcase the complexities of Carmen alongside her foil in Micaëla. Cheplakova will perform the role in performances until 25th May.

Cheplakova’s lyric soprano has garnered international acclaim: in performance, “her voice is splendid, her technique flawless,” revealing “a radiant and vibrant voice constituting the common thread of a performance that is just as accomplished on the dramatic level.”
