In the 2024/25 season, Galina made a milestone debut at The Metropolitan Opera as Liza Queen of Spades, alongside her debuts at Bayerische Staatsoper as Violetta La traviata, Francesca Francesca da Rimini with the Berliner Philharmoniker under Kirill Petrenko, and as soprano soloist in Britten’s War Requiem with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. Current and upcoming engagements include her house debuts with Opera Australia as Mimì La bohème, Opéra National Montpellier and Opéra de Dijon as Nedda Pagliacci and in concert with the Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin under Vladimir Jurowski.
Recent highlights include Violetta La traviata at Oper Graz; Tatiana in Eugene Onegin, Mimì in La bohème, Marguerite Faust, soloist in La voix humaine, Zemfira in Aleko with State Opera Kazakhstan, and Micaëla in Carmen and Tatiana at Bashkir State Opera.

A silvery, easily produced soprano and sharp dramatic instincts… Vocally, it was a pleasure to hear a singer with a sweet-toned, shimmering voice essay this music. Cheplakova demonstrated great vocal agility and never seemed to push for volume, with impressive amplitude even when singing pianissimo
