On April 20, Timur Zangiev makes his Metropolitan Opera debut, conducting one of his signature works: Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. Following a striking run of the opera this season at Valencia’s Palau de les Arts and a vividly shaped account at La Scala in 2025, Zangiev brings a fresh, sharply defined perspective to this cornerstone of the Russian repertoire.
The cast features Asmik Grigorian as Tatiana, Stanislas de Barbeyrac as Lensky, and Iurii Samoilov in the title role.
