MK Impresari and IMG Artists are pleased to announce that Timur Zangiev has joined our rosters for general management, in partnership. Recognised as one of the most compelling and rapidly rising conductors of his generation, Timur is quickly establishing himself on the international stage with acclaimed debuts in many of the world's leading opera houses and concert halls.
Recent highlights include a widely praised debut at the Salzburg Festival conducting Prokofiev's The Gambler with the Vienna Philharmonic, as well as his Staatsoper Berlin debut last week in Claus Guth’s production of Mussorgsky's Khovanshchina. The press noted his deep affinity with Russian repertoire, observing that he "demonstrates how deeply he embodies the soul of Russian music", with the Staatskapelle Berlin responding in "meticulous precision" to create "a vast torrent of sound and monumental dramatic power."
The 2025/26 season will see Timur return to the Wiener Staatsoper with Eugene Onegin and Iolanta, and make his debuts at The Metropolitan Opera and Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía with Eugene Onegin. Later this month, he leads symphonic concerts with the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Lyon.
Katya Deleu, MK Impresari, said:

This marks an important new chapter for both Timur and for us, and continues a very successful collaboration defined by artistic achievement and shared values.
