Erl Festival -
La bohème
Kleinezeitung.at

Long Long hat eine starke Bühnenpräsenz. Was sympathisch ist

My Scena
The COC has cast a winning duo of young Chinese singers making their Canadian debuts in the lead roles. Tenor Long Long (not to be confused with the famed pianist Lang Lang) is a natural Faust, with a golden sound that carries even in pianissimo. His versatile range soars from a deep baritone to glorious high Bs and Cs. His “Salut demeure chaste et pure” is a fine showcase of his nimble instrument. Also an expressive actor, his displays of despair, fervent love and grief are convincing

The Star
Thankfully, the COC has assembled a superb cast. Tenor Long, who earlier this year won the Maria Callas Debut Artist of the Year award by the Dallas Opera after singing another Gounod role, exudes both passionate ardour and philosophical wonder as the title character

On opening night, Long sang with a splendid lyric tenor of volume and beauty, a totally secure top, with a plangent top C in his big aria. Also of note was his ability to toss off a high B diminuendo, something that few tenors dare to attempt
