Stacey Alleaume and Long Long star in La traviata at the Bregenzer Festspiele

Two MKI artists take to the stage at the Bregenzer Festspiele this summer in Verdi’s La traviata, with soprano Stacey Alleaume reprising her acclaimed portrayal of Violetta and tenor Long Long singing Alfredo. Their performances begin on 25 July.

Stacey Alleaume returns to Bregenz as Violetta, a portrayal that has won widespread acclaim, with critics describing her performance as “stunningly beautiful” and praising her for “[inhabiting] the role completely.” Joining her as Alfredo is Long Long, whose interpretation of Verdi’s young hero has been praised for its “consistent and stylish” singing and for bringing “great warmth” to the role.

Both artists are also looking ahead to an exciting 2026/27 season. Stacey Alleaume returns to Violetta with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in Antwerp and Ghent, before taking on the title role in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen with Irish National Opera. Long Long opens the season as Alfredo at the Canadian Opera Company before returning to another signature role, Rodolfo in La bohème, in productions at Opernhaus Zürich, Seattle Opera, and the Royal Danish Opera.
